Procedure:

In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Acts 1969,following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the dispute.

Background:

The worker referred a dispute on the 5/10/2021 to the WRC claiming that the employer had failed to adequately address his complaints of bullying in the workplace.

Summary of Complainant’s Case:

The worker did not attend the hearing

Summary of Respondent’s Case:

The employer did not attend the hearing.

Findings and Conclusions:

The worker referred a dispute to the Director General of the Workplace Relations Commission on 5/10/2021 alleging that the employer had failed adequately address his complaints of bullying in the workplace. A hearing for that purpose was held on7/11/2022. There was no appearance by the worker at the hearing. I am satisfied that the said worker was informed in writing of the date, time, and place at which the hearing to investigate the dispute would be held.

In these circumstances and in the absence of any evidence to the contrary having been adduced before me, I must conclude that the dispute is not well-founded, and I recommend accordingly

Decision:

Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Acts, 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.

This dispute is without merit.
