Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) following the referral of the disputes to me by the Director General, I inquired into the disputes and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the disputes.
Background:
The Worker has referred two disputes under the Industrial Relations Act, 1969 |
Summary of Workers Case:
The Worker did not attend the adjudication hearing. The Worker’s representative attended the adjudication hearing. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
The Employer did not attend the adjudication hearing. |
Conclusions:
On the 8 September 2022, the Worker wrote to the WRC seeking an adjournment of the adjudication hearing as she would be out the country on that date and unable to attend. The adjournment request was refused. There was no appearance by the Worker at the hearing. In these circumstances, I do not recommend in favour of the Worker. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
I do not recommend in favour of the Worker.
