Procedure:

In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.

Background:

The Complainant alleges that he did not receive pay in respect of hours worked. He did not attend the hearing. The respondent was represented at the hearing.

Summary of Complainant’s Case:

The complainant did not attend the hearing.

Findings and Conclusions:

The complainant did not attend the hearing. I am satisfied that he was on notice of the hearing and the non-attendance has not been explained to my satisfaction. I find the complaint is not well founded.

Decision:

Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.

I find that the complaint is not well founded.
