Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended)following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Background:
A complaint was received by the Director General of the Workplace Relations Commission from the Worker on 21 September 2022 alleging that the Employer contravened the provisions of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 in relation to her. The said complaints were referred to me for investigation. A hearing for that purpose was held on 31/05/2023. |
Summary of Workers Case:
The Worker did not attend the adjudication hearing. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
The Employer attended the adjudication hearing. |
Conclusions:
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the Worker at the hearing. I am satisfied that the Worker was informed in writing of the date, time and place at which the hearing to investigate the dispute would be held. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
I do not recommend in favour of the Worker. |
