SUBJECT:

Complaint under Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969.

BACKGROUND:
The Worker referred this case to the Labour Court on 4 October 2023 in accordance with Section 20 (1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969, and agreed to be bound by the Court’s Recommendation.

A Labour Court hearing took place on 21 December 2023.

RECOMMENDATION:

This Worker submitted a complaint against his previous Employer. The Employer did not respond to any correspondence from the Court, nor did they make a submission when invited to do so.

On the day of the hearing neither the Worker, nor the Employer turned up.

On the basis that the Worker did not turn up to present his complaint, the Court does not recommend concession of same.
