Date of Adjudication Hearing: 05/07/2023
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: David James Murphy
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 and Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 - 2015, following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant brought complaints against the Respondent under the Employment Equality Acts. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend the scheduled hearing. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent respectfully submits that the complaints are misconceived. They attended the hearing represented and fully prepared to defend their position. |
Findings and Conclusions:
I am satisfied that the Complainant was on notice of the hearing and did not attend. The Complainant has failed to put forward a case under these acts and therefore the complaint must fail. |
Decision:
Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 82 of the Act.
I find the complaint is not well founded. |
