Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).
Background:
The Complainant worked for the Respondent for about three weeks. Upon cessation he was owed approximately two weeks wages which came to €624.24. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant attend the hearing and made written submissions in advance of same. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent attended the hearing and conceded the claim. |
Findings and Conclusions:
The parties attended the hearing and agreed that the Complainant was owed €624.24. The Respondent indicated that this would be transferred to the Complainant however a number of weeks later the Complainant wrote to the WRC indicating that this had not happened and as such this decision was issued. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaints in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
The complaint is well founded I direct the Respondent to pay the Complainant €624.24 |
