Procedure:
In accordance with Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 - 2015,following the referral of the complaints to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaints and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaints.
Although I am satisfied that the Complainant was notified of the time and date of the hearing, he did not attend on the day to give evidence in relation to any of his complaints.
Background:
In his complaint forms to the WRC, the Complainant stated that he was discriminated against by the Respondent during his employment with them. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend the hearing to give evidence in relation to any of his complaints. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
As the Complainant did not attend the hearing to give evidence, the Respondent did not give any evidence in relation to any of his complaints |
Findings and Conclusions:
As the Complainant did not attend the hearing to give evidence, I find that he failed to establish a prima facie case of discrimination in relation to any of his complaints and that he was therefore not discriminated against. |
Decision:
Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 82 of the Act.
