Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
In her complaint form sent to the WRC, the Complainant stated that she was not paid by the Respondent in respect of a number of sick days. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend on the day of the hearing to give evidence in relation to the complaint. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
As the Complainant did not attend on the day of the hearing to give evidence in relation to the complaint, the Respondent’s witness did not give evidence in relation to the complaint. |
Findings and Conclusions:
As the Complainant did not attend on the day of the hearing to give evidence in relation to the complaint, I find that this complaint is not well founded. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
I find that this complaint is not well founded for the reasons set out above. |
