Procedure:
In accordance withSection 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended) followingthe referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
This matter was heard by way of remote hearing pursuant to the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 and SI 359/20206, which designates the WRC as a body empowered to hold remote hearings.
Background:
The dispute in question concerned the alleged Discriminatory Dismissal of a Hairdresser from a Salon. The Employment commenced on the 12th May 2023 and ended on the 13th June 2023.
The rate of pay was stated to have been the statutory Minimum Wage of €11.30 per hour at the period in question. The case was considered under the Employment Equality Act,1998 in Adjudication decision Adj-000xxXXX. Accordingly, any Industrial Relations Act,1969 Recommendation must refer to that Adj case. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
As the dispute has been fully considered under Adj-000xxxxx the Recommendation is that Adj be regard as a proper discussion/disposal of this linked case.
