Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Lefre de Burgh
Date of Hearing: 18/04/2024
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended)following the referral of the disputes to me by the Director General, I inquired into the disputes and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the disputes.
Background:
The Worker submits that she worked for the Employer as an English Teacher for approximately eleven (11) months, between November 2022 and October 2023. She alleges that she was unfairly dismissed and has suffered detriment as a result. The Worker referred two disputes under the Industrial Relations Act 1969, to the Director General of the Workplace Relations Commission for investigation on 21/12/2023, which appear to be duplicate complaints. The complaints were referred to me for investigation. A hearing was convened for that purpose on 18/04/2024. Neither party attended. |
Summary of Worker’s Case:
The Worker did not attend the hearing. |
Summary of Employer’s Case:
The Employer did not attend the hearing. |
Conclusions:
In conducting my investigation, I have taken into account all relevant submissions presented to me by the parties. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
Neither side attended.
I am making no recommendation in favour of the Worker in these matters. |
