Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
The Complainant did not attend on the day of the hearing to give evidence. He subsequently sent an email after the hearing explaining that he was unable to attend because he was very ill and sought a postponement of the matter on this basis. In the absence of any medical certificate having been furnished by him, I decided not to grant the postponement request

I find that this complaint is not well founded for the reason set out above. |
