Procedure:

In accordance with Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 - 2015,following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.

I noted that two unfair dismissal complaints were submitted by the Complainant to the WRC. The first of these was submitted on 8 April 2023 against the named Respondent. A second complaint against SSE Airtricity Energy Services Limited (ADJ-00047707) was filed on 7 September 2023.

As there is no legal entity called SSE Airtricity, and a Complainant can only have one employer, I find that this complaint is essentially a duplicate. Therefore, I have only addressed the complaint of unfair dismissal made against SSE Airtricity Energy Services Limited (ADJ-00047707).

Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the unfair dismissal claim consisting of a grant of redress in accordance with section 7 of the 1977 Act.
