Procedure:
In accordance with Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 - 2015, following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
A hearing of this complaint was scheduled for 23 January 2025 and both parties were informed of this by letter dated 26 November 2024. The complainant did not attend the hearing and gave no reason for his non-attendance. The respondent did attend the hearing. |

Decision:
Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 82 of the Act.
The complainant did not attend the hearing and is unable to pursue his claim and I therefore find the complaint is not well founded. |
