Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: David James Murphy
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaints to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaints and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaints.
Background:
The Complainant submitted the above complaints against their former employer on the 2nd of December 2024. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend the hearing. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
Mr Peter Dunlea of Peninsula attended the hearing on behalf of the Respondent. |
Findings and Conclusions:
The Complainant was sent notice of hearing at the address supplied on the complaint form. On the morning of the hearing I waited 20 minutes for the Complainant to attend and tried to call the mobile number provided on the complaint form. No one answered. In the circumstances I conclude that the Complainant was on notice of the hearing, did not attend the hearing and that their complaints must fail. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaints in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
I find the complaint not well founded. |
